In keeping with our commitment to providing excellent customer service, we have included below some useful questions and answers about our products and services.

Should you have a question that is not answered here, you are most welcome to contact one of our friendly consultants who will gladly assist you.

Q: I want to see the system in action before I buy it. How can I do this?

A: Please contact us for a demonstration. One of our consultants will be happy to show you the product, either in person or remotely over the internet.

Q: Where can you do installations?

A: We perform installations at your premises at no additional cost. We can do installations in most cities and towns in South Africa. Outlying areas may incur a callout fee. Contact us for a quotation.

Q: When can you do an installation? How long does it take?

A: We can typically do same-day or next-day installations in major cities, but this depends on stock and personnel availability. Installations of vehicle tracking equipment typically take about 1 hour.

Q: What is the difference between the pricing options? Is the product different?

A: Regardless of which pricing option you choose, the product remains the same. Our options offer you greater flexibility with regards to your cash-flow. You may also optionally subscribe to our Stolen Vehicle Recovery service for an additional monthly fee.

Q: Do I get all the features described on the website as part of my monthly fee?

A: Yes, your monthly fee covers all the features seen on this website. Unlimited use of all of the vehicle tracking and fleet management features is included in this rate. The only exception is SMS alerts, for which we currently charge R1.00 (excl. VAT) per SMS sent. This is a feature that you enable and the costs are clearly explained when you do so.

Q: I want a vehicle tracking device for insurance. Can I choose We Track 24/7?

A: Insurance companies take our vehicle tracking into account when determining your premium. If your vehicle is stolen, we will be able to see where your vehicle has been, at what speeds it has been driven, where it has been parked and other details. We can also recover your vehicle if you opt for our Stolen Vehicle Recovery service.

Q: How many vehicles do I need to have in my fleet to get a discount?

A: Discounts are given for fleets with three or more vehicles. As your fleet expands, we will offer you further discounts on new purchases. Contact us for a quotation to compare prices and options.

Q: Are vehicle movements constantly recorded? How long do you keep records of my vehicles’ movements?

A: The past activities of your vehicles are stored on our servers for 12 months, at a 15 – 60 second resolution, allowing you to see everything that has happened since then. We guarantee three months of historical positioning but typically never delete your data.  Up to 150 000 events can be stored.  These are sent to the APN and on GSM reconnection.

Q: How often does the site update with the vehicle’s location?

A: The system uses real-time tracking and updates every 15 – 60 seconds.

Q: Where is the unit installed? Will the driver or a thief be able to remove it easily?

A: The unit is installed in a way that makes it difficult to find. As each vehicle is different, our installers will find a hidden position that works in your vehicle. There are no long antennas that can be traced back to the tracking device.
